VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help spruce up the home of a blossoming community project.
The Allotment Soup Project field in Walney is in need of some tender loving care over the summer months, and two events are being held to get the work done.
A work-day for weeds will take place on Friday July 28 from 10am until 2pm, with volunteers asked to help clear communal growing areas, paths and plots. The next day, at the same time, a second work-day will involve a trackway tidy and plant survey of the site, which is run by Art Gene.
