CONCERNED residents called 999 after a fire was spotted in a residential area of Walney.
The on-call Walney fire crew was called to Avon Street at 8.53pm last night to reports of a fire in the open.
On arrival, firefighters discovered the fire was a supervised bonfire.
Advice was given to those supervising the bonfire.
