FIRE crews were called out to rescue a pensioner after her stair lift broke down.
They attended a home on Black Butts Lane, Walney, about 10.30pm last night after an emergency call.
The lift had stopped working and the elderly lady was stuck upstairs but was brought down to safety by the Barrow crew.
