A DRIVER who crashed and caused spinal fractures to herself and her passenger has been fined.
Danielle Louise Instance, 24, of Darley Dale Road, Barrow, pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention on Biggar Bank Road on October 5.
In a letter to South Cumbria Magistrates' Court on February 7, Instance said: "I take full responsibility and I am sincerely sorry my friend has been injured.
"I feel I have learned a great deal from the accident and I hope to continue to be a better driver."
Instance was fined £75 and handed five penalty points. She was also ordered to pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £30.
