A CONTROLLED explosion of items located in BAE Systems yesterday will take place near Walney airfield today.
Police tweeted at 10:24am to notify people about the explosion with the hashtag #DontPanic.

Yesterday, Cornmill Crossing in Barrow was closed as a precaution by police at 12:46pm amid fears that an unexploded ordnance bomb had been found in BAE Systems.
However, the road was only closed for a short period of time with it reopening just before 2pm.
