THE finale guided walk to Piel Island of the summer is taking place next weekend.
John Murphy will lead the afternoon walk over the sands to Piel on Saturday September 8.
This walk is being titled 'Meal on Piel Walk' as walkers can get a fish and chip supper, or other food ,from The Ship Inn on the island.
Walkers are asked to meet next to The King Alfred pub, on Ocean Road, Walney at 3pm. A car convey will then make its way to Snab Point at south Walney to cross the sands.
The group will stroll to Piel, a two mile walk, learning about the nature and the history of Piel which has a castle and a king. The walkers will then head back into the setting sun.
