Walker leads victory roll for North Scale

WOMEN’S BOWLSKAREN Walker led from the top of the sheet as North Scale beat Furness Abbey 7-4 in the Furness Ladies Evening Bowling League.
Vera Crosby, Anne Willison and Sheilah Hackett were the only winners for Hawcoat Park as they lost 9-3 at home to Roose. Sheila Burns won to single figures for Biggar Bank but the team went down 8-4 against Askam.
King Alfred and Co-op are still battling for top spot. This week, King Alfred beat Kirkby 9-2 and the Co-op defeated Glaxo by the same score.
In the remaining game, Ella Johnson and Anne Wilson were the winners for Red River in their 9-2 defeat by West Mount.
