UPDATE: Furness League games cancelled due to wet weather

SEVERAL football fixtures across south Cumbria have been cancelled due to wet weather.

A number of amateur sports fixtures in Barrow, Dalton and Bootle and have been cancelled due to waterlogged pitches.

All but one game in the Furness Premier League were confirmed as being cancelled at around 11am following a night of heavy rain.

Games so far cancelled by the weather include Crooklands Casuals vs Hawcoat Park FC, in Dalton, Furness Rovers A vs GSK Ulverston Rangers, Bootle AFC vs Swarthmoor Social FC, Hawcoat Park FC vs Poulton Town FC.
