Young Ulverston dancers give a taste of India

THESE eager youngsters will be putting their best feet forward tonight as they take to the stage for an Ulverston dance show.

Reception pupils from Croftlands Infant School, in Oakwood Drive, will be the youngest taking part in the second night of the two-part show at Ulverston Victoria High School.

The four and five-year-olds have been practising for a month with dance teacher Louise Walton as they prepare for the show.

Reception teacher Angela Coulston said she was looking forward to seeing the pupils in action.

She added: “We are very proud of what they have achieved over the past month – it is such a confidence builder.”

The pupils will perform an Indian-inspired dance they have been working on.

Mrs Coulston said the children had worked hard and she was impressed with what they had achieved.

She added: “I’m going to be on the sidelines just helping out but they are very confident.

“They are really looking forward to it. The children are all very excited.”

The first night of the Ulverston Primary Dance Platform, which is open to the local primary schools, took place last night.
