Ulverston set for royal visit

AN Ulverston charity will be rolling out the red carpet for a special royal visit next month.

The Duchess of Gloucester will be at St Mary’s Hospice on Wednesday September 10 to officially open the new Cavendish Wing.

The two story facility has been funded by a £468,000 grant from Department of Health Grant.

The extension is named in honour of Lord Cavendish, patron, former chairman and long-term supporter of the hospice.

The event will be invite only but the public will be able to view the new wing on Thursday September 11 and Friday September 12.
