Lane closures planned during work to improve A590 in South Lakes

WORK to install a new safety barrier along a section of the A590 near Ulverston began today.

The project is due to be completed by Sunday.

Highways Agency project sponsor Peter Gee said: “The barrier is in is poor condition and, as part of our routine maintenance along the A590, we are replacing it with a new barrier up to present standards which will enhance protection for users of the of the route.”
