Delays on A590 near Ulverston

MOTORISTS are experiencing delays on the A590 as queues build at temporary traffic lights near Ulverston.

EM Roadworks graphic

Drivers traveling from Barrow to Newby Bridge have reported delays of up to 10 minutes due to roadworks between Ulverston and Arrad Foot.

Massive tailbacks stretching back to Bouth are causing delays of up to 30 minutes for traffic heading towards Barrow.

Have your say

Road works have to be done but I'm sure that they would be done in a way that inconvenienced road users less if they were paying for delays.

I work in and around Ulverston, I left Newby Bridge at 8.05 and did'nt get to Booths until 9.35 I think 30 minutes was a little out, could this work not have been carried out at night when there would be far less traffic?
