Chainsaw stolen near Ulverston

A PETROL chainsaw with a 28-inch blade has been stolen from a shed near Ulverston.

It comes after a string of thefts involving power tools across Cumbria.

The red Jonsered 920 chainsaw was stolen from a shed in Coulton, near Ulverston on Saturday.

Detective Inspector Amanda Sadler said: “We are making enquiries on a number of burglaries and will be looking to prosecute anyone who we think is responsible.

“We believe that the thieves are targeting rural areas where expensive tools can be found around farms or in large sheds. Once stolen we believe thieves are selling the tools on.”
