WITH Cumbria bracing itself for a weekend of wet and windy weather as a fresh storm front approaches footage has emerged of Storm Ophelia buffeting the Furness Peninsula.

Sat atop Hoad, in Ulverston, is a camera controlled by local firm Furness Engineering and Technology Limited. This weekend as Ophelia made its way across the Irish sea every moment of its journey was captured.

Black clouds can be seen rolling in over the town followed by the striking 'red sun phenomenon' caused by Saharan dust dragged into the storm as it passed over the Atlantic.
