A 42-YEAR-OLD man from Ulverston, who was found lying on a pavement with a powdery coating around his mouth, has pleaded guilty to possessing a class-C drug

Gary Aspinal, of Beech Drive, Ulverston, was found lying in a pavement in Steamer Street, Barrow, with a friend.

When he was searched by police, they found 78 tablets of Alprazolam in his possession.

He appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court on Tuesday where he was fined £40 and ordered to pay court costs of £85 as well as a victim surcharge of £30 by presiding magistrate, Mr Ian Skillen.
