A MAN from Ulverston has been given a suspended jail sentence and told to pay more than £1,000 for a string of offences.
Jonathan Moss pleaded guilty to harassment, assault and two counts of criminal damage when he appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court yesterday.
The court heard the 41-year-old, of Priory View in Ulverston, had damaged an Audi A1 belonging to Ian Culley on September 16 of last year, damaged a mobile phone belonging to Sarah Moss and assaulted her on December 15 of last year, and harassed her between January 30 and March 12 of this year.
Moss was given an eight-week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months, and ordered to psay £1,059.51 in compensation to Ian Culley and £100 to Sarah Moss.
He was also given a 12-month restraining order, banning him from contacting Sarah Moss and from entering Penny Bridge.
