AN Ulverston man has appeared in court after being accused of spiking another person with heroin last year.
Andrew Paul Makin of Larch Grove, Ulverston was charged with unlawfully and maliciously administering a poison or destructive or noxious thing with intent to injure and aggrieve another.
It is alleged that between July 2 and July 5 of last year, Makin administered the class A drug to the complainant.
The 50-year-old made his first appearance at Furness Magistrates' Court on September 8.
The case has been referred to Preston Crown Court for a trial which is set to take place on Friday October 7, from 10.30am.
