A 23-year-old man admitted receiving stolen goods.
Sebastian James Preston appeared before Furness Magistrates' Court on Thursday.
The defendant of Ash Court, Birkrigg Park, Ulverston, pleaded guilty to dishonestly receiving stolen goods, namely a multi-purpose trailer, worth between £265 and £300 belonging to Paul Hutchinson, between February 10 and July 21, last year.
Preston was fined £265 and ordered to pay a £26 victim surcharge.
He was also told to pay £85 prosecution costs when he appeared before the Abbey Road court, Barrow.
Preston is to pay the balance of £676 at £100 a week from February 25.
