AN Ulverston model car racing club has its eyes on the future thanks to a local business.
Ulverston Radio-Car Club Cumbria recently relocated from Hawcoat to the Glaxo Sports Club.
Because of the input from GSK Sports Club, they are now looking to inspire the next generation of racers.
Keith Harrison, 47, one of the club members, spoke about their move.
He said: "We've now got the backing of Glaxo. We can create a place for the future, for the racers of the future.
"We're building up a grass-roots organisation with Glaxo. We've got the option to take it forward so we can build a state-of-the-art outdoor track."
Club chairman, Simon Rice, 43, said: "The move has been really good. The venue is a lot bigger than it was before. We've had a lot of support from Glaxo."
The group are now looking to recruit local businesses to help them develop their track, but also new members to grow their club.
Mr Harrison said starter cars can cost as little as £150 to £200. More expensive models can cost upwards of £1,000 to build.
The group have said anyone interested in their club can find out more on their Facebook page.
