A TOWN centre bank closed after smoke was found to be coming from the basement.
Barclays Bank in County Square, Ulverston called emergency services when a member of staff noticed smoke coming from a fuse box.
Three fire engines from Ulverston, police and a team from Electricity North West attended the scene at 12pm on Monday February 22 2016.
Dry powder was used to put the fire out and the building was evacuated.
Watch manager from Ulverston fire station, Mark Nicholson explained that the fire was caused by a small electrical fault.
County Square, which was temporarily closed off by police, is now open and Electricity North West remain on the scene.
