THE trial of a sacked chef accused of attacking his boss is set to resume this morning.

Barrow Crown Court heard on Wednesday (8) how Christoph Alexandrou was pounced on by a hooded man as he locked up Lakeland Continental at 11pm on November 30.

The pensioner described how he was assaulted by a man wearing what looked like a Christmas stocking with eyes cut out and a Santa sack being put over his head as he was punched and strangled.

Kevin Robinson has denied attempted grievous bodily harm and assault occasioning actual bodily harm on November 30.

The 35-year-old of Napier Street, Dalton, claims he tried to talk to his ex-employer at Lakeland Continental and Mr Alexandrou attacked him “like a wild animal”.
