TEENAGERS enjoyed a prom to remember, with even the gloomy weather being unable to dampen their spirits.
PROMS AT OTHER SCHOOLS:
Around 150 Year 11 youngsters from Ulverston Victoria High School dressed to impress for the school's annual leavers' celebration at the Abbey House Hotel in Barrow.
The rain held off just long enough for pupils to make the journey from Ulverston and enjoy drinks on the hotel's terrace, where they took snapshots aplenty, cutting sharp figures in their evening dresses and suits.
But the fun wasn't just reserved for the teenagers.
The evening, organised jointly by head of year Amanda Cooper and a group of Year 11 pupils, also gave teachers the chance to celebrate the end of the academic year with their students.
Among the activities on the cards for the lucky teens were a formal dinner and speeches from the head boy, head girl and deputies, as well as the opportunity to throw some shapes on the dance floor.
The students made sure their night quite literally went out with a bang, as they were treated to an impressive firework display.
Mrs Cooper confirmed that pupils had really enjoyed getting dressed up for the occasion, saying: "Everyone looked amazing. They had an absolutely fantastic time."
