A TALENTED young South Cumbria musician who recently performed at this year's BBC Proms is appealing for help after one of her prized instruments was stolen.
The soprano saxophone of 18-year-old Jess Gillam, of Ulverston, is believed to have been stolen on Thursday morning (17) around 11.30 in Hammersmith, London.
On Twitter, Miss Gillam has asked if anyone sees the Yanagisawa S901U for sale online or anywhere else to contact her.

The full details of the stolen instrument are: A Yanagisawa S901U unlacquered soprano saxophone; a Yani case with two reflective stickers attached.

This evening on BBC Two's Proms Extra programme, an appeal was made by presenter Katie Derham on behalf of Miss Gillam.

Miss Gillam has only just performed in this year's BBC Proms , playing in Prom Eight which celebrated the music of the iconic composer John Williams.
She also played in two further shows, geared towards a younger audience.
