A TOWN theatre may feel a bit draughty in the future but staff are confident there will be no complaints from paying punters.

Volunteer staff at the Coronation Hall in Ulverston have been getting hands on with newly installed draught beer pumps which which are now ready to use in the hall's two bars.

For the past few months the hall have only been able to sell bottled beers - but hospitality manager Suzanne Garnett and her team are delighted to once again have draught beer on tap.

The new equipment was put to its first serious test this week, when hundreds of people turned out to see legendary comic and raconteur Jimmy Tarbuck on stage.

Suzanne Garnett said: "The volunteers soon got used to the new pumps and it was very much business as usual serving up the pints for a thirsty crowd at the Coro on a lovely summer evening.

"Our volunteers play a vital role supporting the full-time staff, and their commitment is help the Coronation Hall go from strength to strength."
