A BAND from the South Lakes is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary by reforming the original line up and performing seventies rock classics to a packed-out crowd.

The Dangerous Brothers will perform at the Coronation Hall in Ulverston on August 13 to raise money for St Mary's Hospice and the Fire Fighters Charity.

Rhythm guitarist, Willy Watson, who works as a firefighter in Ulverston, said: "It is quite exciting, we have hired in some professional sound management as we thought we would try and make a proper go of it and make some money for two great charities.

"Everyone knows someone who has been through St Mary's Hospice so I think we are all looking forwarding to supporting them by doing this gig."

The band, who do covers of bands such as Led Zeppelin and ZZ Top, have become well known after touring around the north west of the country but the original line up haven't performed together since 2002.

The band's current formation consists of Mr Watson alongside Andy Hill, Peter Hill, Andrew Wilson, Chris Graves and Emily Hill.

The show, which will also feature Ulverston band Stainless, starts at 8:30pm with tickets priced at £12 in advance or £15 on the door.
