TWO motorists were taken to hospital following a serious collision on the A5087 coast road.
At around 2.13pm today police were alerted to a two-car crash between Baycliff and Bardsea.
A Kia Rio and a Vauxhall Zafira had come together a short distance from Seawood Farm.
Police, ambulance and fire crews were dispatched to the scene, with firefighters having to use a hose reel jet on one of the cars, the engine of which was smoking.
A driver and passenger were taken to hospital following the smash, but their injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Police closed the road from The Fishermans Arms up to the crash site, and a diversion was still being enforced well into the late afternoon. Motorists were advised to find an alternate route.
