POLICE have confirmed that two burglaries that took place in one week may be connected.
South Cumbria CID are investigating two burglaries in the Ulverston area that resulted in the theft of more than £10,000 of power tools.
Canal Head Garden Machinery Centre, in Ulverston, and Henry Armer and Sons, at Greenodd, both fell victim to the thefts.
Detective Sergeant Mike Wallace of South Cumbria CID confirmed that both incidents resulted in "considerable financial loss and disruption."
A statement from South Cumbria CID said: "We are appealing to members of the public in particular those who live in the vicinity of Canal Head or Greenodd not already spoken to with relevant information of any suspicious activity or vehicle sightings to make contact."
