Police have issued an appeal for help after a holdall belonging to a deaf and mute couple went missing in Ulverston yesterday.

Ulverston and Furness Police sent out an appeal over their twitter feed after it was reported that a white-coloured holdall had been lost or misplaced between 7pm and 9pm in Ulverston last night (April 30).

Police are asking for the help of taxi drivers in the Ulverston area, who may have picked up the deaf and mute couple during that time, to see if the holdall can be traced.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police on 101.
