POLICE have issued an appeal for witnesses following a three-vehicle crash at Swarthmoor on Friday which resulted in a man being airlifted to hospital.
A white Vauxhall Astra van, a SEAT Ibiza and a Ford Transit van were involved in a collision on the A590 at around 2.30pm on Friday.
A 58-year-old man, from the Ulverston area, was airlifted to Royal Preston Hospital with serious injuries following the crash.
A police spokesman said this morning that the man was in a stable condition.
Anyone with information is asked to ring Cumbria police on 101 and ask to speak to PC 1639.
