THE A590 westbound between Greenodd and Ulverston has reopened following a serious collision this morning.
The westbound carriageway has been closed between the A5092 (Greenodd) and Tebay Lane (Ulverston) since earlier this morning.
Police were called to the collision at 10.36am after a silver Ford Focus left the road.
The driver, a 23-year-old woman from Barrow was taken to Furness General Hospital by ambulance.
Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen this vehicle or a second, which was also travelling on the A590 westbound at that time, as they are investigating the standard of driving of both vehicles prior to the collision.
The second vehicle is a blue Ford Focus ST model.
Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact PC Mark Clark or PC Mark Jesson on 101.
