A LEGACY charity which provides holidays for seriously ill children is holding an open day in Ulverston tomorrow (Saturday).
Alice's Escapes, the charity founded by the late, inspirational Alice Pyne, is having an open day at Bardsea Leisure Park in Ulverston.
The charity provides holidays for families with a seriously ill child, but a new element to the charity's work is to offer breaks for bereaved families of children who have passed away.
The event runs from 2pm to 6pm and is a chance to meet the team and take a look around the luxury caravans at the Priory Road site.
Visitors can enjoy a tea or coffee and cake.
The purple army of Team Alice took part in the gruelling Keswick to Barrow and Coniston to Barrow events last weekend to help fund these important family breaks.
