A SEA of pink trickled through the streets of Ulverston, Dalton and Barrow last night in what truly was a 'Walk to Remember'.
The St Mary's Hospice fundraiser saw more than 400 women and girls trek 10-miles in memory of loved ones and to raise cash for the compassionate service.
The determined walkers gathered at the hospice in Ford Park Crescent, Ulverston, at 8pm and received a rapturous applause from friends, family and hospice staff who gathered to see them off.
The tired but proud group reached the finish line at Furness Academy in Park Road, Barrow, where they were met with plenty of hugs and kisses.

One of the women taking part was Lucie Johnson, 49, of Nelson Street, Barrow, who was walking in memory of her father, Bob Griffiths.
She said: "He had the Hospice at Home service and there were absolutely fantastic.
"They care for the whole family and not just the people they are treating.
"It's the second year. We have prepared this year better. I did a 10-mile walk on Saturday and a five-mile walk on Tuesday."
Chloe Round, 16, of Askam, was also walking for her grandparents, Kath and Allan Round, who were looked after at St Mary's Hospice.
She said: "I'm doing it for my grandparents. They were in here and they were fantastic with them."
