A MAN has been appeared in court accused of engaging in penetrative sexual activity with a girl under 16.
Peter Connor Matthews, 20, appeared at Furness and District Magistrates' Court on Thursday and magistrates committed the case to crown court.
No plea was entered during the hearing to the charge related to November last year in Barrow.
Matthews, of Watery Lane, Ulverston was granted conditional bail.
The case is now set to be heard at Preston Crown Court on July 21.
