CRUNCH talks surrounding the exit of a major Ulverston employer have been pushed back due to scheduling conflicts.

MP John Woodcock had intended to reconvene a taskforce set up in the wake of the news GSK was pulling the plug on its Ulverston operation.

Talks between local politicians, town officials and union reps were set to resume on September 22, but have had to be cancelled.

Key stakeholders of the Ulverston plant were unable to attend. A spokesman for Mr Woodcock said as soon as a fresh date could be found, it would be announced.
