FUEL was sent spilling over the forecourt of a petrol station this morning when a heavy goods vehicle crashed into a petrol pump.

Ulverston Fire Service were called out at 7:45am today when the vehicle collided with a petrol pump.

The fire service were called to the Shell Petrol Station in Ulverston to secure the area.

Services cordoned off the affected area and laid down a foam blanket to stop any further problems.

A fuel pump engineer has been requested to attend the scene to fix the pump and stop any further leakages happening.

Ulverston Fire have said this isolated service cause no injuries and was dealt with reasonably quickly.
