THE final Ulverston town council meeting in the town hall will be held tonight.
Ulverston Town Council will meet tonight for their last meeting held in the chamber.
Their next meeting on September 21 will be held in the Supper Room of the Coronation Hall.
Meetings will continue to be held at the Coronation Hall until the new offices in Brogden Street are complete.
This move is designed to secure the long term financial future of the popular cultural venue after South Lakeland District Council announced it could no longer afford to keep both the town hall and the Coro open.
The toilets in Brogden Street are being remodelled at a cost of £105,000 to SLDC.
They were chosen over an alternative of moving into the Coro’s attic.
Everybody is welcome to attend tonight's meeting.
