A MAN accused of driving his car while over the limit has denied the charge.

Mohammed Hafizur Rahmen, 44, of King Street, Ulverston, appeared at Furness Magistrates' Court on Tuesday to plead not guilty to one count of drink-driving.

The incident is alleged to have taken place at around 2.10am on May 20, when Rahmen is said to have driven a Volkswagen Passet down New Market Street while under the influence of alcohol.

The case has been adjourned until the morning of July 17, when Rahmen will stand trial at 10.30am.
