A BEAUTIFUL bride who has incurable cancer said her dream wedding had created "loads of lovely memories".

Beaming Sarah Bunting married Keith Lamb, her partner of 15 years, at The Nan Tait Centre, in Barrow, on Saturday in front of family and friends.

Their 12-year-old son, Michael, did them proud as best man and walking his mum down the aisle.

The couple, of Oxford Street, Ulverston, are the winners of The Bay Radio's wedding competition.

The bride, 41, said: "It has been perfect, loads of lovely memories, and loads of pictures for Michael to look back on.

"Michael has been fantastic.

"It has been lovely, and it's such a nice day too."

The groom said: "It has been absolutely fantastic, everything we wanted and more. We can't wait for the rest of today.

"Sarah is absolutely stunning, it takes a bit to bring a tear to my eye but she did that alright.

"Michael has been brilliant."

Before the newlyweds heading off to their reception they and their guests released balloons, each carrying a label with the date and 'K&S'.

The bride is part of Feelin Good Lookin Great, a group of local ladies who highlight the warning signs of spotting cancer and raise money for charities.

Friend and member of the group, Amanda Rawlinson, nominated the couple for the wedding competition. But she could not be there as she is in hospital, so the bride FaceTimed her during the ceremony.

The bride is also mum to twins Marcus and Chris, 22, and grandmother to 11-month-old Poppy.

Mrs Lamb was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma in May last year and after treatment was then in remission for four months. However on December 30 she found out the cancer had spread to her lungs and that it was incurable.

She is focused on create memories with her family, such as the very happy big day this weekend.
