EVERY dog had its day at an event dedicated to our four-legged friends.
Alice's Dog Show was once again a popular feature of Ulverston and North Lonsdale Show with families and individuals taking part.
The sun even came out for the afternoon event, after the show had been hit by heavy rain throughout the morning.
The dog show is now annual fixture, held in honour of the late, inspirational, Alice Pyne. The event is run by Simon and Cathy Broomfield, with the agricultural show and sponsorship from Verstone Kennels and Cattery.
Judge, Rebecca Sisson, of Lakes Animal Physiotherapy, had the tough job deciding between the dogs of different shapes and sizes.
There were classes for pedigree dogs, crossbreed dogs, puppies, child handlers and even best trick with rosettes being awards all round.
The Best in Show award went to Bob Whitall's Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy, Jamie, who was also Best Puppy in Show. The Reserve Best in Show was Jeff Gaskell's labrador, Belle. Best Veteran in Show was Kath Tattersall's dog Sally.
Alice’s Dog Show was founded in 2011 as part of Alice's famous Bucket List. Alice’s wish was to enter her pup Mabel into a dog show. Her dream became a reality when the Broomfield's organised a dog show in farmer’s field and raised thousands of pounds for charity at the event. Alice's Dog Show then became a popular part of Ulverston and North Lonsdale Show.
