A WHITE van driver attacked a dog walker with a metal wrench after a row over a dog not being on a lead.
Police are investigating the assault which happened at Birkrigg Common near Ulverston at lunch time on Friday July 14.
A man drove up to the 31-year-old victim in a white Vauxhall Astra van, with a registration beginning NU52 Z, before getting out and hitting him on the arm with a metal wrench.
The suspect is described as white, in his 50s, with grey short stubble and was wearing a flat cap, black jeans, a leather waistcoat and holding a thin black walking stick.
The attacker had been walking a black and white collie dog at the time and the attack happened when he confronted the victim for not having his dog on a lead.
