A MAN was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences following a raid at a house in Ulverston.
A quantity of harmful chemicals were seized during the raid at the property in Weston Avenue, which took place at around 6am on Saturday morning.
Following the discovery of the chemicals, firefighters froim Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service were called in to identify and safely remove the items.
A 29-year-old man from Ulverston was arrested on suspicion of drugs offences and has since been released on bail.
Given the previous history at the address, the road was cordoned off while police searched the property and the chemicals were removed.
