Charity celebrates volunteer's 15 years of service with special award
A VETERAN volunteer has been recognised for dedicating 15 years to an Ulverston charity.
Frank Musker, 81, was given a prestigious 'Making Time' award by The Abbeyfield Society, an association which provides housing and care for older people.
Mr Musker said: “It came as such a surprise to me to win and it is so wonderful to have been recognised like this.
"Really, I just feel like I am doing my job but to know how big a difference I am making to the people I work with is worth more than any award.”
The award was presented to the pensioner for being a true ambassador for Abbeyfield Ulverston,and for tirelessly promoting the organisation's good work and embodying their core values of respect and honesty.
