FIREFIGHTERS from Barrow and Ulverston were called out this morning when a homeowner overcooked a piece of toast.
The two crews were called to a home in Steel Street in Ulverston at around 5.30am this morning after a 999 call was made.
The call had been the result of burnt toast but Barrow's fire engine was turned back while on the way to the scene. Ulverston's crew had arrived and made the property safe.
