BELONGINGS worth more than £7,000 have been stolen in a burglary.
A house in Swarthdale Avenue, Ulverston was broken into between noon on Friday and 11am on Monday. As well as £1,000 in cash, items stolen included a gold watch, sovereign and half sovereign rings, two wedding rings, a gold sovereign on a chain, a cameo ring and a diamond solitaire engagement ring. A gold chain and locket, a gate bracelet, a link chain and bracelet, a three tone gold bracelet and a lotus pearl necklace were also taken.
