A WORLD-famous strongman is set to come to Furness this summer to talk through the extraordinary achievement of becoming a world champion.

On July 7 strongman Eddie Hall, known as 'The Beast', will appear at the Coronation Hall in Ulverston after becoming the first Briton crowned World's Strongest Man in almost 30 years.

At the 2017 contest held in Botswana Hall came out on top beating second place Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson - known for playing The Mountain in Game of Thrones - by just one point.

The 30-stone behemoth who eats up to 12,000 calories a day and sweats it out for up to four hours a day in the gym will give attendees a glimpse into his extraordinary journey.

Tickets are available now from the Coronation Hall's box office, by calling 01229 587140 or purchasing online at www.corohall.co.uk.
