Bloom award thanks to Kevin’s graft
Last updated 14:08, Friday, 05 September 2008
EIGHT years of early wake-ups have paid off for an Ulverston pub flower tender.
Kevin Sedgwick, 23, has watered and tended to the Rose and Crown’s flowers for eight years as part of his morning duties at the King Street pub.
And his efforts have helped the pub to success in the Ulverston in Bloom competition.
Mr Sedgwick, who also works in the kitchen at the Farmer’s Arms on Market Place, Ulverston, said: “All my hard work and early mornings has paid off, I’m delighted.”
