Two men in hospital after serious Cumbria crash

TWO men are in hospital this morning after a serious crash on the A66 in Cumbria last night.

At 7.55pm, a silver Landrover Freelander left the carriageway of the A66 just east of Penrith and hit the wall of the Llama Karma Kafe.

The driver, a 49-year-old man from Appleby, and the passenger, a 54-year-old man, sustained serious injuries from the crash.

They were both taken to the Cumbria Infirmary in Carlisle.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident is asked to ring 101, asking for PC Stitt.
