Chapterhouse bring The Jungle Book to Muncaster this weekend

The entertainment takes place on Saturday and Sunday as the Chapterhouse Theatre Company return to the venue with another pair of summer favourites.

Wuthering Heights, which starts at 6.30 pm on Saturday, is Emily Bronte’s classic love story set on the beautiful, mysterious wilderness of the Yorkshire moors. This famous tale of enduring love and passion has thrilled and entranced for generations.

The following day The Jungle Book brings the magical Indian jungle to life. In this beautiful adaptation of the children’s classic by Rudyard Kipling, the audience can join Mowgli on his adventures with the loveable and wise Baloo the Bear, the powerful panther Bagheera, not to mention mischievous monkeys and the terrifying tiger Shere Khan.

This performance starts at 5pm.

The plays have both been adapted by the award-winning writer Laura Tuner. Chapterhouse open air productions have been described by national newspapers as ‘the perfect evening’, while The Stage magazine, describes their work as ‘filled with comic flare and visual sparkle.’

Tickets for both productions are available by calling 01229 717614 or by visiting www.chapterhouse.org

Ticket prices include access to the Gardens and Owl Centre.
