Submarine section to cause delays on Barrow road

BARROW motorists travelling along Bridge Road may face minor delays due to the movement of a section of a submarine.

A large section of the rear of the fifth Astute class submarine, Anson, is due to be transported at around 10.45am tomorrow, Tuesday April 1, from the main shipyard gates in Bridge Road to the Devonshire Dock Hall gate on North Road.

The movement is due to last around 15 minutes.

There will be no disruption to parking in the area however there may be slow moving traffic for a short period.
