South Cumbria set to be in for a weekend of heavy rain

SOUTH Cumbria is set to be in for a weekend of heavy rain.

Tomorrow Furness is due to have a cloudy start with temperatures of 5C, but feeling -2C.

The heavy rain is due to set in by lunchtime and continue into the Sunday morning. The height of the wind speeds on Saturday are due to be around 34mph, with gusts of 50mph.

On Sunday the heavy rain is due to ease off into lighter showers and light rain. The temperatures are due to be around 7C and feeling 1C. The wind speed is expected to be 26mph, with gusts of 43mph.

There are no weather warnings for the county as of Friday afternoon.
